The Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the area with Central; buses and green minibuses run along Robinson, Caine and Conduit Roads, and the Peak Tram has intermediate stops on the eastern side.
中環至半山自動扶梯連接中環；羅便臣道、堅道及干德道一帶有巴士及綠色小巴，東面則有山頂纜車中途站。

Known for its schools: the University of Hong Kong, St. Paul's College, St. Joseph's College, King's College, St. Stephen's Girls' College and ESF Island School, among others.
